TROY INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS REACHES SAFETY MILESTONE
Brewer, Maine – Employees of Troy Industrial Solutions (TIS) celebrated a significant safety milestone on June 18th, 2024, at their fabrication facility in Brewer, ME. The Brewer team has achieved over 1,000 working days (impressively, that’s over four years) without a lost time accident. President of TIS Jason Smith and VP Dale McCarthy were there to celebrate and thank the team for their success and to validate what it means for TIS as a whole and its testimony to members and their families.
Brewer’s General Manager, Brett MacLean, and Quality Control Manager, Phil Foley also thanked the team, reiterated the importance of safety, and what it means, and shared what the next steps are for TIS Brewer. The Brewer team celebrated their team’s diligence and commitment to safety with an impressive cookout and each employee was presented with a custom safety award.
A strong safety record means a strong TIS business. This level of safety helps TIS compete with larger contractors and demonstrates our care for each member of the team. Reaching this goal allows TIS Brewer to apply for the state of Maine Safetyworks Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) and Safety & Health Award for Public Employers (SHAPE) recognition programs. These programs give TIS the opportunity for free safety consultations from the state, exemption from certain inspections, and recognition from OSHA.
As of June 25th, the team has reached 1034 days in safety.
