Congratulations to our 2026 Troy Industrial Solutions Manufacturing Scholarship Winners – Emma Weiland and Lucas Cable!
On behalf of Troy Industrial Solutions’ scholarship committee, we are pleased to announce that Emma Weiland and Lucas Cable are the recipients of the 2026 Troy Industrial Solutions Manufacturing Scholarships.
Emma is a graduating high school senior from Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park, NY. She credits her interest in manufacturing to hands-on learning and mentorship through Capital Region BOCES’ Machining and Manufacturing Technology program, where she built technical skills and leadership experience through SkillsUSA. She further strengthened her confidence and real-world readiness during an internship at P1 Industries, where she was the youngest employee and the only female on the shop floor. Emma plans to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering this fall and is committed to promoting awareness of the many pathways to rewarding careers in the skilled trades and advanced manufacturing.
Lucas is also a high school senior, graduating from Early College High School in Costa Mesa, CA. During his senior year, he discovered a passion for manufacturing through a Coastline ROP internship, gaining hands-on experience in a simulated microfactory and learning lean manufacturing, technical skills, and efficiency-driven problem-solving. He later applied these skills through leadership in the Coastline College 3D Printing Club and Enabling the Future, where he helped produce 3D‑printed prosthetic arms, mentored new members, and streamlined production processes. He plans to pursue a degree in Manufacturing Engineering and aims to leverage automation and AI to develop microfactory-based, community-focused manufacturing solutions.
Troy Industrial Solutions proudly congratulates Emma and Lucas on each being selected as recipients of the $1,500 Manufacturing Scholarship. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to pursuing careers in manufacturing and skilled trades reflect the strong future of our industry.
