Troy Industrial Solutions is looking for a motivated career minded individual to fill a Power Generation Service Technician position. The individual in this position will work out of our Watervliet, NY shop and will be responsible for service, repair and testing of generators, fire pumps, power units and other industrial engine-based equipment. This position will have the support of a dedicated Power Generation Service Representative.

Relocation assistance available.

EGSA certification assistance available.

Essential Duties:

• Travel to customer sites to inspect, service, and/or repair industrial engine driven equipment
• Ability to provide the necessary information so the dedicated service representative can develop accurate customer quotes
• Load testing of generators up to 2MW
• Ability to operate a company truck and trailer up to 26,000lbs (non-CDL)
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as required

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with industrial engine/generator service and repair
• Basic understanding of electricity
• EGSA certification preferred
