[Brewer, ME] – Chris Pierce, a member of the Troy Industrial Solutions Team for over 25 years, has been promoted to Product Manager of Fabrication in Brewer, Maine. Chris previously held the position of Project Manager/Estimator and has been filling in as the Territory Manager for the past two years in Troy’s Brewer location. This was a natural transition for Chris into the job of Product Manager.
His 35 years of experience, primarily servicing the manufacturing, mechanical, power generation, marine, construction, and forest industries led him to this upper management position where his new responsibilities include promoting the strategic plan for growing the sales of fabrication, related products, and services. In addition, Chris will be collaborating with Territory Managers, Project Estimators and Project Managers to provide solutions addressing the customer’s needs. Chris’s main goal in this new role is to develop and continuously strive to provide solutions to customers, this includes improving the flow and quality of information from the beginning of the relationship with the customer until the completion of the job. Customer satisfaction and the opportunity to repeat business are the ultimate goals. Chris states, “I hope in a few years to look back and realize our efforts to improve business made a difference and helped with the growth of our company.”
Before joining the Troy family, Chris worked for 10 years at a full-service shipyard specializing in design, building and support of complex surface combatants for the U.S. Navy in production as a welder, fabricator. In addition, his job experience includes working in an engineering department as a communications liaison between production and engineering, a designer in the drafting room and a leadsperson. He holds a State of Maine Journeyman Certificate of Steel Fabrication, training certificate in Bulk Material Handling from IDC University and is a 1990 BIW Graduate Apprentice of Steel Fabrication.
Married for 8 years to a dental hygienist (with the cleanest teeth in the company) Chris enjoys spending much of his down time at his camp in Northern Maine where he enjoys many outdoor activities such as boating and snowmobiling.
