On behalf of the Troy Industrial Solutions’ scholarship committee, we are pleased to announce that Sarah M. Morin is the first recipient of the Annual Troy Industrial Solutions’ Manufacturing Scholarship. Sarah is a 2024 graduating high school senior from Rio Grande City High School in Rio Grande City, Texas.
With a passion for manufacturing, Sarah pursued a rigorous academic schedule throughout her high school career. This included a dual enrollment in Precision Manufacturing Technology, earning college credits via South Texas College where she took advantage of classes that gave her an in-depth view of manufacturing. Sarah earned four NIMS (National Institute of Metalworking Skills) certifications and is currently pursuing her fifth. Mentored by Dr. Esmeralda Adame, a CEO instrumental in NIMS, Sarah became inspired, and her desire to be “a woman in the manufacturing industry inspiring others to be the best version of themselves” did not go unnoticed in her essay submission for this scholarship consideration. Her recommendation letters included attributes of being “generous, compassionate, respected, dedicated, hard-working and a leader,” characteristics we value and encourage at Troy Industrial Solutions.
Sarah will receive a one-time $1,000.00 financial award to be used towards her education. We wish Sarah a successful future and look forward to her achieving remarkable things and inspiring others while promoting the growth of manufacturing jobs for future generations.
