{Watervliet, NY} – Troy Industrial Solutions (TIS) is pleased to announce the promotion of Dave Cook to Corporate Sales Manager. With over 30 years’ experience in product application and innovative solutions for industrial equipment, Dave has been with TIS for a little over a year in the role of Product Manager, Electro-Mechanical Sales and Service, where he excelled in his role working closely with Territory Managers, customers, vendors and TIS employees.
In his new position, Dave will continue to collaborate with the sales team while helping to exceed company sales goals, oversee marketing initiatives, develop product lines, enhance customer service expectations, train new staff and provide solutions to keep industry running. His immediate goal includes continuing to champion the TIS culture, where “families are more important than the company and should always be taken care of first. The company needs to stay healthy so we can continue to take care of our families. We all need to look out for the well-being of the families,” as stated by Jason Smith, President of TIS. In addition, Dave’s goals also include keeping the company informed of innovative technology, industry trends and developing an experienced, skilled, and certified workforce to be competitive while working out in the field and in the shop.
Throughout his career Dave has worked across multiple industrial markets from food and beverage, pharmaceutical, mining, automation, energy, and original equipment manufacturers. He spent four years in the United States Navy where he was an Electricians Mate on CV64 Constellation where he specialized in electric motors, advanced electrical controls, and power distribution. He later attended Empire State College where he studied business management and economics.
Dave resides in Broadalbin, New York with his wife and has two children. He is an avid skier, bourbon connoisseur, dining enthusiast, and a champion supporter of his daughter’s love for ski racing. Dave is looking forward to walking his oldest daughter down the aisle in 2023.
